Part-Time Janitor Job Description

Position: Part-Time Janitor
Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $14 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented part-time janitor to maintain the cleanliness and organization of our facility. This role involves performing routine cleaning and minor maintenance tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Daily Cleaning Tasks:

   • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in common areas and offices.
   • Dust and wipe surfaces, including desks, countertops, and windowsills.
   • Empty and sanitize trash bins and replace liners.

2. Restroom Maintenance:

   • Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
   • Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.

3. Facility Upkeep:

   • Report maintenance issues such as leaking faucets or broken fixtures.
   • Maintain cleaning supplies and ensure equipment is stored properly.

4. Safety & Hygiene:

   • Adhere to safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals.
   • Respond promptly to spills or other hazards to prevent accidents.

Qualifications:

• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Dependability and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
