We are currently hiring for Material Handler for a premier Bakery located in the Hayward, CA area. Candidates must have prior electric pallet jack experience.

Job Title: Material Handler

Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday

10PM - 6:30AM

MUST be available to work OT and weekends and be flexible with start and end times.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities:

Keeps up with production needs while working in a variety of positions that may require the ability to lift up to 55 pounds, move raw and finished goods between WH and production, and enter changes in inventory into a computerized spreadsheet.

Associates will be required to pass a Electric Pallet Jack certification provided by Sugar Bowl. Failure to pass the certification will cause the associate to remain as a Heavy Lifter until the certification is passed.

Reports immediately any machinery issues.

Must fill out and record daily production reports.

Follows company's GMP and other food safety and quality requirements.

Verifies ingredients, labels, and packaging to ensure the items being utilized and produced are identified properly.

Keeps work area clean and organized.

Job Requirements:

Must be able to lift 55 pounds

Must be able to work entire shift on feet, and must be able to push/pull bakery racks/baskets occasionally.

Must be able to speak, read and write in basic English, perform math calculations and use a computer.

Able to work in a hot or cold, and/or noisy environment.
