Job Title: Material Handler / Sit-Down Forklift Operator
Location: Torrance, CA
Schedule: Tuesday & Sunday OFF 8:00am - 4:30pm
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

We are a leading transporting company in Torrance, CA, seeking a Material Handler / Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic warehouse environment, where you will be responsible for both operating a sit-down forklift and performing general labor tasks, including loading and unloading shipments for extended periods. Key Responsibilities:

• Sit-Down Forklift Operation: Safely operate a sit-down forklift to transport materials, load and unload goods, and organize warehouse inventory.

• Loading and Unloading: Open to performing extended loading and unloading tasks, ensuring materials are handled properly and safely.

• Material Handling: Perform general labor duties such as moving, stacking, and organizing materials in the warehouse.

• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining inventory accuracy, including checking and recording stock.

• Warehouse Maintenance: Ensure a clean and organized work environment and follow all safety procedures.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations in the warehouse.

 

Qualifications:

• Prior experience operating a sit-down forklift is required.

• Must be comfortable with physically demanding tasks, including standing, lifting, and moving materials for long periods.

• Ability to lift up to [50] pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks.

• Must be open to performing general warehouse labor tasks, including loading and unloading shipments.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and safety.

• Reliable and able to work independently or with a team.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Must be available to work Sunday through Thursday.

Air/Ocean freight knowledge a plus.
