Job Title: Injection Molding Operator with Forklift Experience (1st Shift)

Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Injection Molding Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in injection molding operations and be certified to operate a forklift. As an Injection Molding Operator, you will be responsible for the operation of injection molding machines, ensuring product quality, performing routine maintenance, and managing inventory with the use of a forklift. This is a full-time 1st shift position with the opportunity for long-term growth within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Injection Molding Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor injection molding machines to produce high-quality parts and products. Adjust machine settings as necessary to meet specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect molded parts to ensure they meet the required specifications. Perform quality checks and troubleshoot any issues, ensuring minimal defects and high product quality.
- Machine Maintenance: Perform basic preventative maintenance on injection molding machines, including cleaning and lubrication. Report major machine malfunctions and assist with repairs.
- Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to move materials, finished products, and supplies to appropriate areas within the warehouse. Load and unload materials as needed.
- Material Handling: Ensure raw materials are available for the molding process and that finished products are properly stored or staged for shipment.
- Inventory Control: Assist in maintaining inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, using a forklift to move items as necessary.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and standards, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and your coworkers. Operate machinery and equipment according to safety protocols.
- Documentation: Accurately record production data, machine settings, and maintenance activities in company systems.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as an Injection Molding Operator is preferred, or a strong willingness to learn the process.
- Forklift Certification: Must be certified to operate a forklift and have practical experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality production standards are met.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot machine or production issues quickly and effectively.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, following instructions and collaborating with colleagues and supervisors.
