Partners Personnel in Ontario CA is Urgently Hiring Pickers and Packers for an Automotive Distribution in Ontario.
Job Title: Picker/Packer
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour.
Schedule: Mon–Fri 6:30 to 3:00pm MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH OVER TIME
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Process Dealer parts orders accurately and with reliable quality (60%)
Receive incoming shipments (20%)
Process Dealer return parts (10%)
Perform inventory counts and stock rearrangements (5%)
Safe behaviors, Equipment maintenance and general housekeeping (5%)
Accurately receive, inspect, process, store and ship a variety of automotive parts and accessories meeting company standards of safety, security, and efficiency
Meet or exceed all minimum PDC productively and quality objectives while displaying professional conduct at all times
Relocate merchandise to staging and/or storage areas as directed
Inspect freight for accuracy and/or damage
Verify receiving tickets against packaging part numbers to ensure accuracy and report damages, shortage, discrepancies, or other out of line conditions
Prepare customer orders for shipment
Transport orders to shipping docks or other areas as directed
Report any count or other out of line conditions to the Supervisor or designee
Maintain neat, clean, orderly, safe, and secure work and storage areas
Maintain and charge forklift, stock chaser, and batteries as needed
On a daily basis, perform preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment which includes, but are not limited to, checking fluid levels, proper tire pressure, and cleanliness
Perform general housekeeping in assigned areas
Performs Special Project Work as required at the direction of Management
Limited judgment procedures exist for all functions and processes
WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE CROSSED TRAINED IN VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS, MANUALLY PUT LABELS, SHRINK-WRAP, BREAK PALLETS AND STAND, BEND AND TWIST. MUST BE PHYSICALLY ABLE TO WORK IN A WAREHOUSE ENVIRONMENT. MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 30-50 LBS REPEATEDLY. STEEL TOE SHOES REQUIRED.
