The Material Handler is responsible for managing and moving goods and materials within a warehouse, production, or distribution environment. This role includes unloading and loading shipments, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring efficient and timely material distribution. The ideal candidate will have experience operating warehouse equipment, adhering to safety guidelines, and working in a fast-paced environment.  

Pay: $15-16

1st shift: 7:00AM-3:30PM Over Time since 5:00AM

2nd shift: 3:30PM-12:00AM Over Time until 2:00AM

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips or manifests.  
• Inspect materials for damage and report any discrepancies or quality issues.  
• Move materials, goods, and products to appropriate storage or production areas.  
• Organize and store materials in a way that optimizes warehouse space and ensures accessibility.  
• Accurately track and update inventory records using barcode scanners, warehouse software, or manual logs. 
• Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain stock accuracy.  
• Pick, pack, and prepare materials or products for shipping, using proper packing techniques to prevent damage.  
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to fulfill orders.  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.  
• Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.  
• Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certification may be required).  
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs or more) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.  
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software.  
• Good organizational and communication skills.
