Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing and maintaining equipment, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting/repair, cleanliness, and escalation of assigned equipment according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Essential Functions:
- Diagnose equipment failures, find root cause, and communicate actions taken to the rest of the team.
- Performs a variety of preventative maintenance on parts, pumps, motors, die cutter machines, hydraulic systems, conveyors, steam systems, and related plant and facility equipment
- Follow all aspects of Maintenance Safety protocol (LOTO and 5-S), to ensure that the maintenance team operates safely at all times Reads, reviews, and applies blueprints, schematics, and operating manuals to fix, repair, and maintain equipment.
- Reads and writes electrical drawings
- Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times.
- Organize and maintain a high degree of cleanliness in the maintenance area as well as performing spares inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Perform equipment repairs and rebuilds.
- Recommend countermeasures to prevent repetitive breakdown
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance experience.
- Or at the discretion of the hiring manager Minimum Education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Trade school for Mechanics/ CNC
- Or at the discretion of the hiring manager
Certifications/Licenses:
- Certification in an industrial maintenance trade is preferred but not required Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of aerospace specifications, quality codes and standards
- Ability to read, write and understand blueprints
- Effectively uses power and hand tools
- Able to work within specific time lines meeting critical deadlines
- Must be accurate and detailed with minimum errors
- Basic Computer literacy required and knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook & maintenance databases
- Perform job with minimum of supervision
- Work within a team environment
- Respond with sensitivity to people of diverse perspectives
- Ability to communicate with other employees, providing feedback and responses to questions
- Assist in training of new maintenance staff or subcontractors
