Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing and maintaining equipment, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting/repair, cleanliness, and escalation of assigned equipment according to engineering drawings and specifications. 

Essential Functions: 

  •  Diagnose equipment failures, find root cause, and communicate actions taken to the rest of the team. 
  •  Performs a variety of preventative maintenance on parts, pumps, motors, die cutter machines, hydraulic systems, conveyors, steam systems, and related plant and facility equipment 
  •  Follow all aspects of Maintenance Safety protocol (LOTO and 5-S), to ensure that the maintenance team operates safely at all times  Reads, reviews, and applies blueprints, schematics, and operating manuals to fix, repair, and maintain equipment. 
  •  Reads and writes electrical drawings 
  •  Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times. 
  •  Organize and maintain a high degree of cleanliness in the maintenance area as well as performing spares inventory audits to ensure accuracy. 
  •  Perform equipment repairs and rebuilds. 
  •  Recommend countermeasures to prevent repetitive breakdown

 Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance experience. 
  •  Or at the discretion of the hiring manager Minimum Education: 
  •  High school diploma or GED 
  • Trade school for Mechanics/ CNC 
  •  Or at the discretion of the hiring manager

Certifications/Licenses: 

  • Certification in an industrial maintenance trade is preferred but not required Skills & Abilities: 
  •  Knowledge of aerospace specifications, quality codes and standards 
  •  Ability to read, write and understand blueprints 
  •  Effectively uses power and hand tools 
  •  Able to work within specific time lines meeting critical deadlines 
  •  Must be accurate and detailed with minimum errors 
  •  Basic Computer literacy required and knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook & maintenance databases 
  •  Perform job with minimum of supervision 
  •  Work within a team environment 
  •  Respond with sensitivity to people of diverse perspectives 
  • Ability to communicate with other employees, providing feedback and responses to questions 
  •  Assist in training of new maintenance staff or subcontractors
