Job Coach
As a job coach you will support associates who are diagnosed with intellectual disabilities by aligning vocational interests with their individual desires, abilities, and skills. A coach should be compassionate, professional, and capable of working with a diverse group of individuals.
Job Description:
• Provide one-on-one support to clients on a daily basis.
• Implement clients' objectives and behavior support plans as directed.
• Assist with dressing, feeding, mobility, brief changes, and incontinence care.
• Document all incidents, behaviors, and occurrences daily for the Supervisor and progress notes.
• Review clients' Individual Support Plans (ISP) to understand their target behaviors, objectives, and goals.
• Record instances of client behaviors daily on the Behavior Data Sheet.
• Collaborate with clients to achieve target goals, including socialization, decision-making, community integration, sensory stimulation, and communication skills.
• Employ effective oral and written communication.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Uphold confidentiality.
• Follow instructions and ensure timely submission of all reports.
