Sit-Down Forklift Driver
The Sit-Down Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a sit-down forklift to move, stack, and store tires within a warehouse setting. This role ensures efficient handling of products while maintaining safety and organization in the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
Forklift Operation: Safely operate a sit-down forklift to transport tires to designated areas within the warehouse.
Inventory Management: Help organize and store tires in accordance with inventory control practices, ensuring easy access and accurate tracking.
Loading/Unloading: Load and unload tires from delivery trucks, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Quality Control: Inspect tires for defects or damage upon receipt and report any issues to supervisors.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of inventory movements, including receiving and shipping documentation.
Housekeeping: Keep the work area organized and clean, ensuring a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift is required; certification is a plus.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic math skills for inventory tracking
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy tires (up to 50 lbs or more)
Capable of standing, bending, and moving for extended periods
Comfortable operating machinery in a warehouse environment
Work Environment:
Fast-paced tire warehouse setting
Location: McDonough Ga
Shift: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm (OT as needed)
Pay: $16
