**Job Summary:**

The Order Picker/Picker Packer is responsible for efficiently and accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role involves operating forklifts and other machinery, updating inventory records, and ensuring that the correct quantities of goods are prepared for delivery.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Order Fulfillment:** Read and interpret incoming orders to determine the required items and quantities.

- **Item Selection:** Locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves using handheld scanners or manual methods.

- **Inventory Management:** Update inventory counts to reflect the items picked and ensure accurate stock levels.

- **Machinery Operation:** Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently to move goods within the warehouse.

- **Packing:** Stage and pack selected items for delivery, ensuring they are properly packed and labeled.

- **Quality Control:** Inspect items for quality and accuracy before packing to avoid errors and returns.

- **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of items picked and orders fulfilled.

- **Safety Compliance:** Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

- **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with other warehouse staff and departments to coordinate the fulfillment process.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Proven experience as an order picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.

- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery; certification may be required.

- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy lifting and prolonged standing.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

**Physical Requirements:**

- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to [specific weight, e.g., 50 lbs].

- Capability to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.

- Dexterity to handle items and operate machinery safely.
