Pipe Yard Helper Job Summary 

This position is primarily responsible for assisting the forklift operator with loading and unloading product onto or from trucks, and moving pipe within the yard.

Pipe Yard Helper Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to follow both verbal and hand signal instructions to identify pipe to be moved
• Verifies heat numbers, quantity, and complete chocking of pipe
• Installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
• Painting, stenciling, sandblasting, coating pipes
• Observe all safety precautions and wear appropriate PPE at all times
• Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed
• Maintain Housekeeping in the assigned work area
• Any other duties as requested by the respective supervisor
