Reel Technician
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
We are seeking a skilled Reel Technician. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and repair, with specific expertise in servicing and repairing fishing reels. As a Reel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring the functionality and quality of fishing reels. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a passion for precision mechanics, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and Repair: Inspect fishing reels to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. Perform repairs, adjustments, and replacements of parts to restore functionality.
Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on fishing reels to prevent issues and prolong lifespan. Clean, lubricate, and test reels to ensure optimal performance.
Quality Control: Test repaired reels to ensure they meet quality standards and perform as expected. Make adjustments as necessary to achieve optimal performance.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and work performed. Document customer interactions and service requests accurately.
Customer Service: Interact with customers to understand their concerns, provide repair updates, and offer guidance on reel maintenance and care.
Research and Development: Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in reel design and mechanics. Provide input on product improvements and innovations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Reel Technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of fishing reel mechanics and repair techniques.
Technical expertise in disassembling, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of fishing reels (spinning, baitcasting, fly fishing, etc.).
Proficiency in using specialized tools and equipment for reel repair.
Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Effective communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
