Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations of multiple warehouse locations, ensuring efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Implement and manage warehouse policies and procedures to enhance productivity and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and manage warehouse budgets, including labor, supplies, and equipment costs.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse space utilization and streamline processes.
Inventory Control:
- Ensure accurate and timely inventory management, including regular cycle counts and annual physical inventory audits.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and delivery performance.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse managers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching and training, and address performance issues as needed.
- Promote a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety standards and conducting regular safety training and audits.
Logistics and Distribution:
- Coordinate with logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Optimize transportation routes and schedules to improve delivery efficiency and reduce costs.
- Resolve any issues related to shipping, receiving, and distribution in a timely manner.
Customer Service:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining accurate order fulfillment and timely deliveries.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and issues related to warehouse operations promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to understand and meet customer needs.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in warehouse management and logistics.
- Drive initiatives to enhance warehouse automation and digitalization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management or supply chain operations, with at least 2 years in a regional or multi-site management role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control practices.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team across multiple locations.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel within the designated region as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in supply chain management or logistics (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).
- Experience with lean warehousing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Pay Rate: $125,000
